1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device when you visit it. Cookies are used for many things: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring how a site is used, or following you across sites for advertising. Similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting) do related jobs. The same privacy rules apply to them, so this policy covers them together with cookies.

Because we set no cookies and run no tracking, there is nothing on this site for you to consent to, and no consent banner is displayed. If that ever changes, this policy and the way we ask for consent will change with it.
3. The one third-party request: web fonts
To display the Inter typeface, our pages request the font stylesheet and font files from
fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, which are operated by
Google. When your browser makes that request, Google receives technical information that
necessarily includes your IP address, the page you are viewing and your browser's user-agent
string. We do not send Google any personal data about you, and we receive nothing back about you,
but the request is a disclosure of your IP address to a third party located outside Hong Kong.
Google's handling of that data is described in Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you would rather not have your IP address passed to Google when you visit us, you can either block the request using a browser extension or content blocker, or ask us to self-host the font files on our own server. The page will still work if the font request is blocked: it will fall back to the sans-serif font already installed on your device.
4. The legal position in Hong Kong
Hong Kong does not have a stand-alone cookie consent statute of the kind found in the European Union. Instead, cookies and similar technologies are governed by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) to the extent that they collect or use personal data — that is, information that relates to a living individual and from which that individual can be identified. Because this website sets no cookies and collects no personal data through them, the PDPO's collection and use requirements are not engaged by our use of cookies. If we were to introduce cookies that identify or track individuals, we would need to inform you of the purpose under DPP1, use the data only for that purpose under DPP3, and secure it under DPP4 — and we would update this policy first.
5. How to control cookies in your browser
You can see, block and delete cookies from your browser's settings. The relevant menu is usually under "Privacy" or "Privacy and security":
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies (Chrome) or Cookies and site permissions (Edge).
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. On iOS, Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
Blocking cookies on this site will not affect your ability to read it or to contact us.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add a service that uses cookies or similar technologies, we will update this page with the categories used, their purpose and their duration, and will change the date below. Please review this page from time to time.
